About
Northern-Albertan musician, audio engineer, producer, composer, and songwriter Tanner Reid spent most of his youth playing a wide variety of musical instruments. His obsession with musical performance, composition, and recording eventually led him to MacEwan University — where he graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Music Recording and Production.
In September of 2024, Tanner continued his studies at McGill University, eventually graduating from the Master of Music in Sound Recording program in Spring 2026. Tanner was the recipient of the John R.E. Bradley Award at McGill both years he attended (2025 and 2026), as well as the recipient of the Eleanor Stubley Recording Prize in March 2026.
Tanner has worked with and been taught by distinguished industry professionals, including multi-Grammy Award winner Richard King, Stephen Epstein, Wieslaw Woszczyk, Theresa Leonard, Martha de Francisco, Todd Whitelock, James Clemens-Seely, Padraig Buttner-Schnirer, Paul Johnston, and John McMillan, among many others.
Tanner is motivated by a deep passion for music, and a desire to help musicians and artists bring their visions to life. His consistent emphasis on learning, adapting, and growing pushes him to make unique and tasteful recordings.
